In April, the MHC Paper Club will be all about Indigo. If you have taken Intro to Papermaking at MHC, join us for a two-day Indigo adventure. Must bring long, thick rubber gloves as indigo is a permanent dye. In May, learn to make paper. Allison will be offering her Intro to Papermaking – no previous experience required.
Paper Club: Indigo

2-day session $115 (includes $15 material fee)
On Friday, pull as many sheets of paper as you can.
Then come back Saturday to dip, tie and clamp in indigo. If you have a stock of dry papers at home, you can clamp and tie them in advance and bring them to class to save time.
All participants MUST bring LONG, thick rubber gloves. Indigo is a permanent dye.
For intermediate papermakers and above. Must complete two introductory papermaking classes to join the MHC Paper club. Participants will be responsible for helping to set-up and clean-up.
Limited to 6 participants. Minimum of 4 necessary to run the open studio.
Learn to create unique sheets of (Western-style) paper with moulds and deckles and a variety of fibers pulped in a Hollander beater. Be prepared to get wet, have fun and make sheets of paper that can be used for drawing, painting, printmaking and 3-D constructions.
Limited to 6 participants. Minimum of 4 necessary to run the course.
