Kūka‘a Lauhala Workshop with Kumu Loko‘olu Quintero – SOLD OUT!

- Join Kumu Loko’olu Quintero to learn how to prepare lauhala for weaving. Participants will learn how to collect and select lauhala, clean, flatten and make a kūka‘a (roll) for future use. Participants will also learn to make an ‘ohe ho‘opālahalaha lauhala (bamboo tool used to roll and flatten hala) in order to continue to collect and use this important natural resource.

Ipu Pyrography Workshop with Tamsen Fox

- Join O’ahu based multimedia artist and cultural practitioner Tamsen Fox to learn how to turn an ipu gourd into an original work of art using a wood burning pen.
