Mānoa Heritage Center

Sam Cooke’s commitment to Hawaiʻi through preservation and conservation work and community service formed the building blocks for and what is today a 3.5-acre living classroom dedicated to promoting the understanding of Hawaiʻi’s cultural and natural heritage.

A gift to the Sam Cooke Endowed Fund helps ensure that Mānoa Heritage Center can continue this work and inspire future generations who, like Sam, will work together to take care of Hawaiʻi.

Donations to the Sam Cooke Endowed Fund support:

  • FREE ʻāina-based school programs that inspire students to steward Hawaiʻi’s precious cultural and natural resources
  • Year-round professional development workshops for teachers
  • Care and preservation of Kūkaʻōʻō Heiau, the only restored and intact heiau (ancient temple) in urban Honolulu
  • Maintenance and propagation of one of Oʻahu’s most diverse collections of Native Hawaiian plants

By making a gift to this fund, donors provide a steady stream of income from permanently invested funds that will continue to grow from one generation to the next.
